Help us publish never-before-translated works of Yiddish literature and bring them to English readers everywhere.  

Barely 2 percent of Yiddish titles have been translated into English. Our sixty trained Yiddish Translation Fellows are hard at work translating novels, short story collections, memoirs, plays, and other literary works that have never been available to English readers before. 

With your support, we will create our own Yiddish Book Center publishing house dedicated specifically to Yiddish literature in translation. Our goal is to publish worthwhile Yiddish translations, to sell paperback and e-book editions at an affordable price, and to do everything in our power to bring these new translations to the widest possible audience. The estimated start-up cost of this project is $200,000, and publishing will begin the second funding is in hand.
